Top 5 Places to Stay in Wales For Walkers - The Guardian 2014

"Oriel Milgi – Located in St Dogmaels this B&B welcomes dogs and is full of stylish decor. The owners here are also passionate about walking and are more than willing to give advice, maps and guides. In the village, you will also find a fish and chip shop that is retro and a waterside pub full of amazing atmosphere."

The Independent Newspaper

Opened last November in pretty St Dogmaels, this three-room B&B, a few doors down from the village shop, looks like any other village house from the outside. Step over the threshold, however, and you find yourself inside a cosseting seaside retreat. Once a sea-captain's house, Oriel Milgi is a picture of grace, with a spiralling Georgian staircase at its heart, custom-designed doors, and a mix of contemporary and vintage furnishings. There's also a commitment to sustainability that runs to softly coloured, non-toxic paintwork and renewable energy.

Where to stay Pembrokeshire

"Top 10 hotels and B&Bs in Pembrokeshire' Guardian Online review

"Oriel Milgi, St Dogmaels Opened last November in this pretty coastal village right at the far northern reaches of the county, Oriel Milgi's name refers to its owners' twin passions for art and whippets. Once a sea captain's house, the B&B's three bedrooms now set rustic wooden headboards and French linen sheets against sleek, contemporary bathrooms, vintage furniture and local art ("Coed" is the most decadent with its attached wet room and views out across the garden to the estuary beyond) but, more importantly, hospitality is done to Olympic standards. • 01239 612556, Doubles from £75 B&B Top 10 hotels and B&Bs in Pembrokeshire " Rhiannon Batten, The Guardian 11 July 2012 Click on the link and then on the symbol for B&B at the top on St Dogmaels and this review will appear. "Oriel Milgi B&B in tiny St Dogmael's,
an old sea-captain's house that's now filled with a haul of artworks, mid-century modern finds and the occasional dog. The breakfast is excellent, with food plucked from local farms, artisans and rivers (head to the weekly market by the ruined abbey)."/p>

"Oriel Milgi is a funky three-room B&B that mixes retro style with local craftsmanship and contemporary art in the far north of Pembrokeshire."

"The house is full of character, with an original concentric Georgian staircase, taking you from the original low-ceiling, Welsh slate-floored cottage-style rooms on the ground floor, to the later Victorian-addition bedrooms on the first floor and servants-quarters in the loft space. "
